An Ipswich car retailer has helped raise over £11,500 for a local hospice at a charity golf day.
St Elizabeth Hospice hosted the fundraiser at Hintlesham Golf Club, where headline sponsor, Wolsey Volkswagen, provided a Volkswagen Scirocco as a hole-in-one prize.
An array of golf enthusiasts took to the green to showcase their skills in a variety of traditional and trick-shot golf contests, before enjoying a three-course meal, auction and raffle.
St Elizabeth Hospice, which is based in Ipswich, helps improve the lives of people living with a progressive illness in the region.
Tim Hargraves, brand manager at Wolsey Volkswagen, hopes that the funds raised will help support the hospice’s day-to-day running.
He said: “St Elizabeth Hospice carries out amazing work on a daily basis, providing care and comfort for numerous families in our community. It’s been a privilege to show our support by sponsoring the golf day.”
St Elizabeth Hospice charity event organiser, Carl Brooks, added: “We are very grateful for the support of Wolsey Volkswagen and all our other sponsors.
