Two Ilford technicians have put their fast fit centre firmly in the driving seat after passing an intensive qualification to lead the way in automotive care and customer service.
HiQ Hainault has stolen a march on its rivals thanks to the dedication of Atif Mughal and Theo Charalambous , who have become two of the first mechanics in the county to pass the Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA).
Regulated by the Institute of Motor Industry, the ATA is a regulatory programme that commits technicians to an ethical code of conduct and is regarded as the most prestigious qualification in the fast fit industry, with only a handful of mechanics boasting the accolade.
Both Atif Mughal and Theo Charalambous of HiQ Hainault passed the programme which requires a theory based module and then practical assessments specific to their field of expertise.
Their names are now listed on the ATA website which allows consumers to search for their nearest garage with registered technicians, giving peace of mind that work will be carried out correctly.
Shashi Chandarana, HiQ Hainault’s franchisee, said: “It is really important to instil confidence in our customers and build upon our brand ethos.
“We are proud to be a fast fit destination of trust and by getting our technicians accredited, it’s another way of showing our existing and prospective customers how we work on a day to day basis.
“Over the coming months, we will ensure that all of our technicians get accredited.”
The HiQ fast fit network aims to have at least one technician from every one of its 150 centres accredited by the end of 2012.
