Staff at a Tiverton stationery retailer added a splash of colour to their possessions when a creative camper van from Mitsubishi Pencil Co. visited their office.
Called ‘Freedom to Create’, the tour began at the Cult Pens head office before travelling across the South West coast for one week giving people the chance to make their mark using vibrant POSCA marker pens.
The classic VW camper van, branded with the POSCA logo and colourful flowers, offered the chance to trial the pens. Staff could customise any item they brought along, or add their own square to a surfboard that would be covered in a patchwork of designs throughout the tour.
Simon Walker, Cult Pen’s managing director, said: “We were delighted to welcome the POSCA camper van to our office. It looked brilliant and Mitsubishi Pencil Co. had clearly put a lot of effort into the presentation of the ‘Freedom to Create’ tour.
“We enjoyed getting involved with this fun and engaging campaign. The team had a great time road-testing POSCA on an array of random items found in our office including pen pots, t-shirts and even an inflatable shark!”
During the tour the van headed into Newquay’s Fistral beach for the annual Boardmasters Watergate Bay Festival, Europe’s largest surf, skate and music festival.
Stuart Barker, marketing manager for Mitsubishi Pencil Co. said: “Cult Pens have been a strong supporter of our brand for a number of years. It was great to visit their offices and kick start the activity in style.
“POSCA are incredibly easy to use and can produce a professional paint finish on everything from a surfboard to a pair of shoes.”
