Dartford FC’s under-16 team has thanked its sponsors for a brand new deal with a solid performance this season.
The sponsorship, worth over £1,750, has been pledged by local firm, Beadles Volkswagen Van Centre and is the second consecutive year the dealership has supported the young players.
Nick Davis, the under-16s manager, said:
“Monetary donations are extremely hard to come by, especially at the moment, and this is why we were so grateful to everyone at Beadles Volkswagen.
“This football club provides young lads with a safe environment where they can learn and progress, with annual tours that take them abroad to experience foreign countries and traditions.
“We are taking the team on a six day tour in La Manga in April and, in addition to Beadles’ funding covering the cost of new kit, the cash will help pay for this once-in-a lifetime trip.
“The funding from Beadles Volkswagen Van Centre will go a really long way and has been truly appreciated by everyone at the club.”
Ian Mansbridge, sales manager at Beadles Volkswagen Van Centre, said: “As a local business, it’s vital we support the local community. By sponsoring Dartford FC’s under-16s, Beadles is looking to the future by providing a good base for young footballers and possibly the professionals of tomorrow.
“Everyone at Beadles Volkswagen Van centre wishes the Nick and the team every success for the rest of the season.”
Dartford FC’s youth team is currently fourth in the Kent Youth League. The club’s youth team is hugely popular with some players going on to play for Dartford’s first team; with the added incentive to progress in to professional football and follow the footsteps of recent former players Jimmy Bullard, Dave Martin, Cody McDonald and Charlie Sherringham.
