Mitsubishi Pencil Co. has announced the introduction of several fresh new colours to its POSCA product range. The new vibrant shades include red wine, sky blue, emerald green and several new metallic colours.
POSCA stands out as a versatile styling tool, combining the rich opaque colour of poster paint with the accuracy and convenience of a marker. Available in a wide range of tips from ultra fine line to paint brush, POSCA gives excellent coverage and a lovely hand painted effect to any decorated item. The finer tips can be used for outlining while the bigger ones are ideal for colouring in larger areas.
Though the pens are widely recognised within the artistic community, they are also ideal for craft work. They use water based pigment ink making the markers excellent for overlaying and blending (including white) on any colour background, even black.
The ink produces paint-like finishes allowing the creation of a wide range of unique designs, which are lightfast, water resistant, fade resistant, odour free, safe and non-toxic.
POSCA can be used on any surface and normally just one coat is needed. The pens are absorbent and permanent on porous surfaces like wood, cork, fabric, card and paper and have excellent adhesion to non-absorbent surfaces including glass, metal and PVC.
After letting each application dry you can apply subsequent colours over the top. White applied over dark colours, for example, produces very effective results.
Stuart Barker, marketing manager for Mitsubishi Pencil Co., said: “POSCA allows people to express themselves through art. Suitable for people of all ages, the pens are hugely popular for those who enjoy creative hobbies, marking and signing. We are confident that our extensive colour range will continue to prove hugely popular with our customers.”
