One of Leicestershire’s largest house builders has nominated LOROS as its official charity partner for 2012.
Persimmon Homes North Midlands will look to raise vital funds for the hospice as it holds a number of different fundraising activities throughout the forthcoming year.
Diane Morris, fundraising manager for LOROS, said: “Without our corporate supporters like Persimmon Homes North Midlands we would not be able to continue with our current level of care. It costs LOROS £7 million each year to provide nursing and medical care, which is free to our patients and their families.”
Mariana Knight, sales director for Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “We are delighted to announce LOROS as our nominated charity for the year. The hospice has benefited so many people within the community, that we are only too pleased to support them with our charity efforts.”
LOROS (the Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering) offers care and support within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The hospice is a specialist centre providing professional care for those who are suffering from a terminal illness when cure is no longer possible.
Persimmon Homes North Midlands has homes ranging from apartments to executive family properties at developments in Hamilton, Countesthorpe, Birstall, Stoney Stanton and Leicester. The house builder also has developments located across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Staffordshire.
