IT’S been a real hat trick of celebrations for the newly appointed boss of a leading Tameside company.
Pete Alaimo has just marked 21 years in the motor industry, been appointed to the top job of brand manager with Volkswagen retailer Smith Knight Fay in Gee Cross and, to cap it all, has just become a dad for the first time.
Pete, aged 37, from Stalybridge, said 2012 was proving to be a “real year to remember.”
“Having just completed 21 years in the industry and then reached the top of my profession at the same time was certainly a double milestone,” he said.
“But then becoming a dad for the first time with the birth of my son has meant it’s been a triple celebration for me.”
Pete started in the motor industry at the age of 16 as an apprentice technician.
He moved on to become a service advisor, a master technician and an after sales manager.
The whole of his 21 years in the business have been spent with Volkswagen at various retailers throughout Greater Manchester.
“I’ve always enjoyed my work with Volkswagen but to reach the top job this year of all years, is the icing on the cake,” he added.
