Staff from a Mackworth business are taking on the role of the Easter bunny on Thursday (5th April), as they visit the Derby Royal Children’s Hospital to hand out chocolate eggs and Easter gifts.
Throughout March staff and customers at Imperial Commercials, on Ashbourne Road, have been collecting Easter eggs, cuddly toys and other Easter treats.
And, after confirming a third year of sponsorship with Derby County Football Club, the Volkswagen van centre will be joined by the club’s cheeky mascot, Rammie, when they deliver the gifts to the children.
Imperial Commercials other franchise partner, DAF Trucks, has also supported the Easter campaign by giving five brand new DVD players to the childrens ward.
David Starr, head of business at Imperial Commercials Volkswagen Van Centre, said: “We are very grateful to all our customers who have supported the Easter campaign. The staff have been really busy collecting all the donations and so far we have over 400 Easter treats to take to Derby Royal Children’s Hospital, with more coming in every day.
“Along with our special guest, Rammie, we’ll be delivering the gifts to the children this Thursday and hope to put a huge smile on lots of children’s faces this Easter.”
