The UK’s biggest house builder is offering to build a career for a talented sales person as it launches a search for a new apprentice.
Persimmon Homes is seeking an enthusiastic sales trainee for a four-year apprenticeship in its Southern region.
The apprenticeship, open to everyone from school leavers to mature students, will give the successful candidate a chance to gain nationally recognised qualifications and work with an experienced mentor.
Persimmon Homes Southern Sales and Marketing Director Tracey Lee said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to earn whilst you learn and develop a career in sales.
“Persimmon Homes believes in developing people through the business and this vacancy could provide the right person with a long-term career and a very bright future.”
Tracey has seen her own career develop at Persimmon, where she started as PA to the Chief Executive before moving into sales herself, and said the last apprentice they took on was making excellent progress.
She said: “Almost two years ago we took on Chris Weir as a technical apprentice and he is doing amazingly well. The apprenticeship has given him such an incredible opportunity and I’m sure he has a great future in the housing industry.”
Speaking of his apprenticeship, Chris said: “I really wanted to be earning and not just learning at 16. Persimmon has been excellent as I’m building myself a trade for my whole career.
“Persimmon Homes is a really welcoming company; I cannot stress how much I have learnt from them.”
The successful sales trainee will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent (including maths and english language) and a genuine interest in the construction industry.
During the first two years the apprenticeship includes day release to study NVQs levels two and three in business administration and customer service at college. At a later date there is chance to gain further qualifications in sales and marketing.
Anyone interested in the apprenticeship should send their CV to Persimmon Homes Southern Sales and Marketing Director Tracey Lee, Charles Church House, Knoll Road, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 3TQ.
