A leading housebuilder is holding an open evening so buyers in Salisbury can get free independent expert advice on how to make their next move on the property ladder.
The Help to Buy advice event will take place at the Persimmon Homes Cathedral Gate development on Thursday 3 October, between 4pm and 7pm, for people to find out about the Government-backed scheme.
Linda Humphrey, Persimmon Homes South Coast sales manager, explained that the Help To Buy advice day can show buyers how the scheme will make their first or next home move even easier.
She said: “Help to Buy was launched by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in his spring budget and has really given a boost to the housing market.
“It means people can own 100 per cent of their new home for just 80 per cent of the purchase price using the scheme.
“An Independent Financial Advisor will be on hand during the evening to give expert advice and our sales team is fully trained to offer practical assistance throughout the buying process.”
Help to Buy is available to anyone buying a new-build home up to the value of £600,000. All that is needed is a five per cent deposit.
The Government will put in up to 20 per cent through an equity share loan, the remainder will be funded by a repayment mortgage. The loan can be paid back at any time over the next 25 years, or when you sell the home, and there is no interest to pay on this portion for the first five years.
The aim of Help to Buy is to assist more people across the country make the aspiration of home ownership a reality.
