A young family have become the first customers to snap up a new home at Persimmon Heights housing development on Bransford Road in Worcester.
The family were so keen to secure one of the brand new three-storey houses on the site that they reserved their four-bedroom York-style property on the first day that the sales office opened.
Virgil Hartland-Green, a site foreman, and his wife Marianne, originally from the Cotswolds and Gloucester areas, moved into their new home on 6 June with their two year old daughter Arabella.
Marianne, a full-time mum whose parents have lived in a Persimmon Homes property in the Cotswolds for the past 28 years, said: “We love our new house; it is exactly what we were looking for.
“We were already living in a two-up, two-down Victorian terrace in St Johns and wanted to stay in the area, so we jumped at the chance to move to a much bigger home at Persimmon Heights just round the corner.
“Living here we will have a choice of some great schools for Arabella when she is a little older, and the extra space means that we can accommodate family and friends when they come to stay.”
Persimmon Heights provides a mixture of two, three and four bedroom homes, suitable as first-time buyer starter homes through to larger properties for growing families.
Alastair Parsons, sales and marketing director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said:
“It’s been exciting to watch Marianne and Virgil go through the process of becoming the first residents here at Persimmon Heights.
“Buying a home should create special memories, and our sales teams work very hard to make sure everything runs smoothly and is stress-free for our purchasers.”
“With support available, through various schemes and initiatives including Help to Buy, Home Change and Part Exchange, Persimmon Homes are able to offer potential purchasers the right house to meet their budget in a sought-after area.”
Persimmon Heights can be found two miles west of central Worcester offering the perfect balance between village and city life, in close proximity to The University of Worcester, Worcester County Cricket Club and the historic Cripplegate Park.
