As more and more buyers seek an affordable way to get on the housing ladder, a popular development in Bedfordshire has released its first apartments for sale.
Persimmon Court in Leighton Buzzard is Persimmon Homes’ busiest site in the region, with more than 100 properties a year being snapped up.
Now a new batch of one and two bedroom properties has come onto the market – and they are sure to be a hit with first time buyers and investors.
Debbie Box, sales manager at Persimmon Homes Midlands, said: “We’ve enjoyed huge success with our Leighton Buzzard site – and these new one and two bed properties are a great addition.
“Persimmon Court is a great base for commuting or for simply enjoying the Bedfordshire countryside, so it’s easy to see why so many homes have been sold.”
Debbie said that more than 90 per cent of buyers at Persimmon Court have used the Government’s Help to Buy initiative, which means people purchasing a new-build home need as little as a five per cent deposit to secure a 75 per cent mortgage. The Government supplies up to 20 per cent of the purchase price in the form of an equity loan, which is interest free and repayment free for the first five years.
Persimmon Homes also offers a Part Exchange scheme to help buyers move into their new property quickly and with less stress. Persimmon will arrange for at least two valuations, agree a market price with the seller and then buy the existing property.
Alternatively there is the popular Home Change scheme, in which Persimmon will market and sell a property without the need for an estate agent.
Debbie said: “These schemes and initiatives really do help people either get their first foot on the ladder, or move upwards.”
One bedroom apartments are available from £139,950 while the two bedroom apartments start at £159,950.
