West Midlands law firm Higgs & Sons has held another successful Annual Charity Quiz, attracting 51 teams and raising more than £5,000.
Proceeds from this year’s event will go to leading UK youth charity The Prince’s Trust,
Raising a grand total of £5,041, the quiz took place at The Venue in Dudley and was attended by Higgs’ clients and fellow professionals from across the Midlands.
The Prince’s Trust supports disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track. It supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Prince’s Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law.
Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training.
Tim Jones, from Higgs & Sons, said: “We had a record number of teams and raised over £5,000 for a great cause – The Prince’s Trust.
“Those that attended had a superb evening of quiz competition and we thank all our clients and contacts for their support and doing their bit to help our Community Matters programme. It was absolutely brilliant.”
Higgs & Sons is based in the heart of the Black Country at the Waterfront Business Park in Brierley Hill. The growing team now boasts 100 plus specialist lawyers available to support clients in a comprehensive range of business and private sectors.
