A leading developer has revealed plans to build much-needed new homes in Hartlepool, after successfully finalising a land deal.
Persimmon Homes Teesside says it wants to build 373 new homes at the former Britmag works on Old Cemetery Road.
Initial building works are under way at the development to be known as Steetley Point with the new homes likely to go on sale in the autumn.
Steetley Point promises to combine a picturesque sea view with fantastic local attractions and stylish house types, making it perfect for both first time buyers and young families alike.
Joan Peart, head of sales for Persimmon Homes Teesside, said: “This is an exciting development that will not only provide much needed new homes, but will also breathe economic life into the area and lay the foundations for a thriving new community.
“Our plans include homes to suit a wide range of buyers, from those looking to get on the property ladder for the first time to families seeking more space as they grow.”
Steetley Point is due to be launched in October with sales advisors on hand to advise people on the latest schemes that are available to help them buy their dream home.
