Trevor Gibson-Ford, branch manager at Selco’s Southampton branch which will be based on the Millbrook Industrial Estate in Second Avenue and which will create more than 50 jobs, said: “We are delighted to mark the arrival of the Selco offering in Southampton by offering this fantastic opportunity for charities and community groups in the city.
“So many organisations do such fantastic community work in and around Southampton and the run-up to Christmas is a very special time to be able to give them the chance to win a sum of money which will make a real difference.”
Selco’s Southampton branch will offer an extensive range of building materials, drainage, roofing, heating, plumbing and electrical products, a range of timber including a bespoke cutting service, doors and windows, ironmongery and fixings, decorating supplies, landscaping and fencing items as well as kitchen and bathroom showrooms plus Selco’s tool and plant hire service.
New online offering Click and Collect – which makes life easier for customers as they can order online and collect in branch – will also be available at Southampton.
There is also an in-branch café, trade services, direct-to-site delivery options and van size parking spaces, all designed to make it easier for tradespeople to get onto the job as soon as possible.
