A leading housebuilder has started construction on a £30 million housing scheme in Muirhead.
Heathfields is Persimmon Homes North Scotland’s latest project to get underway in the area and is scheduled to launch in April.
Located off Station Road – a development consisting of 156 new homes and will feature a collection of two, three, four and five bedroom properties to suit a range of house hunters, from first time buyers to growing families.
As well as providing much needed new homes to the area, the development is also expected to support more than 450 jobs.
Plans to transform the 26 acre site were given the green light when permission was granted by North Lanarkshire Council in October 2015.
Iain Innes, managing director at Persimmon Homes North Scotland, said: “We are excited to begin construction and expect the first properties to become available to buy in April , with first customers moving in late Autumn.
“Located within close proximity of many schools and amenities, as well as with easy access to the centre of Glasgow, Stirling and Cumbernauld, the properties have been designed to meet the needs of the current market with something for everyone.
“The development will bring much needed homes to the local area and we are very much looking forward to delivering such a positive change.”
Potential buyers are invited to register their interest in the homes via the Persimmon Homes website – www.persimmonhomes.com
