Purchase based on experience with rigid fleet.
Specialist manufacturer Instarmac has invested in a new MAN TGX as it looks to add an artic to its fleet.
The Tamworth-based company has traditionally run MAN rigids relying on rentals or contractors for some deliveries.
Andy Ryan, logistics manager at Instarmac which specialises in the manufacture of cementitious and bitumen based products, explained: “We wanted to be able to deliver full trailer-loads to our customers and get more pallets in to our customers in one go.
“The decision was made to buy the MAN TGX quite simply because it offered the best value for money in terms of price.
“When we bought the five new TGSs last year we had listened to the drivers and the MANs were their first choice for cab size and the feedback appears to be just as positive this time.
“After just his first run out the TGX driver told me it is ‘the best tractor unit he has ever driven’ and he is an experienced driver who has held his licence for a number of years.”
Instarmac offers six brands, UltratCrete, UltraScape, UltraTile, UltraFloor, Granfix and Wondertex, and the new TGX will be delivering throughout the UK.
Andy added: “We have taken the repair and maintenance contract though MAN Nuneaton and the vehicle will be covering about 120km per annum delivering throughout Scotland, England and Wales.”
Mike Richards, MAN Sales Executive, said: “It is a great testament to the MAN brand and products as well as the quality of customer service the company provides that Instarmac has returned to MAN Truck & Bus UK to meet its requirements for a more diverse fleet.
“The price and package have obviously measured up and we are confident that the performance of the TGX over the coming years will also speak for itself.”
