Brazilian restaurant Rodizio Rico triumphed in a ‘Cocktail Shake-Off’ contest between bartenders at The Cube.
Helping to get Birmingham Cocktail Weekend off to a lively start, mixologists from The Cube’s top bars competed to find which of their signature drinks was voted the iconic building’s top tipple.
Along with Rodizio Rico, bartenders from Marco Pierre White, Shogun Teppanyaki, Bun and Bowl and the brand new restaurant, Bardolino, took part in the challenge.
Customers, members of the public and staff from the offices within The Cube were invited to taste a sample of each cocktail, voting for their favourite by placing their disposable tasting glass into the ice bucket next to their preferred drink.
Rodizio triumphed with their vibrant and popular ‘Blue Lychee’, closely followed by Marco Pierre White restaurant’s runner-up ‘Gin Fizz’, which gave tasters a popping candy surprise.
The ‘Bardolino Cooler’ introduced The Cube’s newest destination to the public, Shogun Teppanyaki offered ‘Zumo Punch’ and ‘Twisted Tokyo’, while Bun and Bowl served up a sublime ‘Serendipity’.
The event was held in the Atrium on Level 5 of The Cube, and guests were also treated to fresh pizzas to sample from the Bardolino kitchen.
