Heathrow airport have released their festive campaign and it did not disappoint.
The promotional video re-introduces characters from the airport’s 2016 advert which saw Edward and Doris Bair, two traditional looking teddy bears, coming home for Christmas.
With the 2016 ad proving a success, why would Heathrow not use the cuddly characters to pull at the nation’s heartstrings once again?
This year, the advert portrays the struggles of Mr Bair as he undertakes countless flights to meet his air-hostess lover, Doris.
The full video summarises a lifetime of airport meetings between the two bears as their family expands and they grow old together.
There are some features throughout which create a British traditional-feeling Christmas advert including the gift of shortbread, the use of BOAC airline, mistletoe and reoccurring themes of family life to create a nostalgic, and emotional campaign.
It looks like Paddington Bear has some furry competition this Christmas!
