Valentine’s Day 2022. Across the nation brands are using February 14th as another way to boost their sales.
But with market competition higher than ever before, you’re going to need a little more than just a couple of roses or some complimentary heart shaped chocolates.
Take a look at just a few of the marketing campaigns we love this year.
A Love Story – Gucci
Gucci is spreading the love the only way they know how to this valentine’s day – through fantasy and fairytale.
The luxury brand has collaborated with visual artist Ariana Papademetropoulous to create a 60’s pop style graphic story showcasing this year’s Valentine’s collection.
The collection features multifaceted heart shaped bags with the word ‘LOVE’ printed across the iconic double ‘G’ print. A big LOVE for us.
KFC x Moonpig Valentine’s Day Cards
Because what’s better than spending Valentine’s with your partner and a bucket of finger lickin chicken?
KFC has teamed up with Moonpig to release eight limited edition cards including a scratch and sniff element that smells just like your favourite – mouth watering fried chicken breasts.
I’m sorry but I see nothing more appealing!
NHS Heart-to-Heart Campaign
NHS Blood and Transplant has ditched the flowers and the cards this year and are instead calling for individuals to have a ‘heart-to-heart’ with their family members about organ donation.
With more than 300 people, including more than 40 children waiting for a heart transplant this Valentine’s, the NHS is focusing its attention on the importance of organ donations and communicating with family members about their decisions.
To create further awareness, individuals are encouraged to download and print out hearts to hang from their windows and share their pictures.
M&S Dine In Deal
There’s lots to love about M&S’s dine in deal for two and there’s no surprise that they’ve brought it back this year.
At only £10pp you can enjoy a starter, main, side, dessert and a bottle of booze.
Not only this but M&S have brought back their Love Sausage. Yes, you heard that right. The genius marketing idea was followed by many puns last year regarding the nation’s love for a sausage on Valentine’s day and no doubt will be met with the same reaction this year.
All You Need is Galentine’s – All Bar One
Want to avoid cheesy dates or still living your best single life? Why not ditch the dates and go out with your mates.
Galentine’s is still proving to be a strong marketing technique when it comes to Valentine’s day, appealing to all the singletons in the room.
This year, All Bar One are extending their Galentine’s special for an extra day so you and your loved ones can enjoy Tapas Tuesday, offering four small plates and a bottle of wine for just £22. Yes, please!
