A Nottingham motoring expert has received national recognition after being named a ‘customer champion’ by a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer.
Helen Burrows, from Ilkeston, received the award from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle for her consistent attentiveness to customers’ needs at the Nottingham business.
The 34-year-old sales executive joined Imperial Commercials Volkswagen Van Centre Nottingham in 2012 and has been praised for been instrumental in improving the business’ customer service, as David Starr, head of business at the Padge Road van centre, explained.
He said: “I am delighted that Helen has received this award. As soon as I saw the nomination criteria I knew Helen would be a perfect candidate.
“She gets mentioned more than any other staff member in our customer feedback records we many customers saying they would recommend her to fellow trade colleagues. Her commitment, energy and dedications to customers, the business and brand is inspiration to my team.”
Having been in the motor industry for 18 years Helen joined the Nottingham Van Centre when the business was operating from a Perspex lean to. The van centre is now a purpose built showroom and workshop featuring the full range of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
Speaking of her award, Helen said: “It was a total surprise to hear I had won. Just being nominated feels great.
“I do work hard to keep my customers happy and it’s nice to know that it’s doesn’t go unnoticed and that I’m a valued member of the team.
“I feel if a customer is treated as a valued individual they will return again and again.”
