A pair of motoring specialists from Swansea have joined an exclusive club after being recognised for their outstanding services to the automotive industry.
Keith Williams from Birchgrove and Kevin Jones from Gorseinon have collectively worked for Sinclair Volkswagen for the past 37 years and were presented with a Volkswagen Gold Pin for exceptional service to the brand, at a recent ceremony in London.
Aftersales manager, Keith, has successfully managed the bodyshop for Volkswagen passenger cars in Swansea since 1989. Although he could have retired last year, job satisfaction and a great team has kept Keith at Sinclair’s.
Kevin (39) has dedicated the past 15 years to the brands commercial vehicle division. Having achieved Volkswagen’s highest status of master technician Kevin uses his expertises as a mentor for up-and-coming technicians while managing his own workload.
Speaking of the award Keith said; “It was a complete surprise. I thoroughly enjoy my job and always have. I am fortunate to work with such a dedicated team who continually work towards meeting and exceeding our customers’ needs.”
Kevin added: “I am thrilled to have been awarded a Volkswagen Gold Pin, it’s a huge honour.”
Clive Hopkins, head of business for the Sinclair Group, added: “We are very fortunate to have such dedicated and experienced individuals in our team. They are a shining example to the Group.”
The prestigious Volkswagen Gold Pins are awarded to just 20 individuals every year.
