A Hereford business has swung into action after confirming a three year sponsorship deal with Herefordshire County Cricket Club.
Volkswagen car cand van centre, South Hereford Garages, will be a shirt sponsor for the Herefordshire 1st X1 player squad until 2014.
The Herefordshire club plays in the Minor Counties Cricket Championship and provides a valuable pathway for young players to develop their potential towards first class cricket.
Fundraising activity and sponsorship deals provide vital funding for the cricket club which is very grateful to have the support of local businesses as club chairman, Bobbie Hadley, explains.
She said: “We are delighted that South Hereford Garages is supporting the club. During this current economic climate securing new sponsorship deals can be very difficult but are so valuable to the club’s continual success.
“It is wonderful to have a local business get behind the club and we are very proud to have such a reputable brand featuring on our shirts.”
