The young car enthusiast from Brentford has embarked on three-year apprenticeship with the aim of becoming the best in the business.
Seventeen-year-old Connor Everitt has been accepted by West London Volkswagen to be the latest recruit on the technician apprenticeship scheme.
Connor, who has joined straight after leaving Richmond College, is looking forward to achieving his ambition of working on Volkswagen vehicles.
Speaking of his appointment, Connor said: “I didn’t expect to get invited for an interview but was thrilled when I did because this is my dream job.
“I love all types of vehicles and this is the only job I have ever wanted to do. I am passionate about the Volkswagen brand and I want to go as far as I can in my career.
“I am over the moon to be given this opportunity into the motor industry and very grateful to West London Volkswagen for giving me this chance.”
West London Volkswagen after sales manager, Glenn Smoker, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Connor to the team.
“In this current economic climate, it’s important that local businesses give youngsters the opportunity to learn and develop a career.
“Connor’s passion for cars was one of the main reasons why he’s been given this place on the apprenticeship programme.
“He may only be 17, but I’m confident Connor will come through the three years with flying colours.”
