A Wigan business is investing £1 million to improve its facilities and services for customers.
Work is underway to build a brand new showroom for Corkills Volkswagen in Wigan. The new site will provide a contemporary setting in which customers can view the ever increasing range of Volkswagen cars.
The existing Wigan site will remain open throughout its transformation. The new showroom is expected to be completed by August 2013, as brand manager, Jacqui Kaye, explained.
She said: “For the past 17 years we have successfully built a strong Volkswagen business from this site. We continually review our services and facilities to ensure we provide a high level of service, so felt the time was right to expand our offering.
“The spacious new interior will be more light and airy and will feature clean cut lines and crisp colours to make it a more pleasurable customer experience, while supporting the brand’s new retail concept. The brand new showroom will display up to 10 different models as well as accommodate an improved hospitality and servicing area.”
To commemorate the new showroom pupils from Westfield Primary School in Wigan created history of the future in a time capsule which has been buried at the entrance of the new site.
Jacqui concluded: “The school children did a fantastic job of designing the time capsule and players from Wigan rugby club and Councillor Cullen came along to celebrate its burial.”
“Customer service is always our priority so the current showroom based in Wigan will remain open throughout the construction of our new business and we look forward to welcoming customer’s feedback.”
