A dispute resolution lawyer is returning to the firm where he trained after spending three years with a global law firm.
Matt Dudley trained with Higgs & Sons back in 2005 and is now returning to the leading Black Country law firm as an Associate to continue his career after three years at DLA Piper.
“I’m really pleased to be coming back,” says Matt. “Whilst I’ve gained some fantastic experience working on a wide range of complex commercial disputes during the last 3 years, I’m delighted to be returning to Higgs. I’m looking forward to building long-lasting relationships with clients and working in partnership with them for many years to come.”
The dispute resolution team at Higgs is expanding year on year. The team is led by partner and head of department, Julia Lowe. She said: “Matt will be an asset to the firm. When Matt moved on to pastures new we left the door open and we’re really pleased that Matt wants to come back to us to further his career.”
Matt qualified at Higgs in 2007 following completion of his training contract. He is now looking forward to re-establishing his own profile and that of the dispute resolution team within the region and beyond.
Higgs & Sons works from two offices in the Black Country, Waterfront Business Park in Brierley Hill and Kingswinford. The firm employs over 200 people, including 100 lawyers. It runs one of the most sought-after lawyer training programmes in the region.
