New homes plan revealed for sought-after Coventry site

The country’s leading house builder has revealed plans for new homes in the Little Heath area of Coventry after successfully acquiring a 30 acre site on Old Church Road.

Persimmon Homes South Midlands is proposing to build 344 homes on the site, providing much-needed places to live for local people and families.

The anticipated investment from Persimmon of £40 million will not only enhance the character and appearance of the wider site, recently designated Coventry Canal Corridor Conservation Area, but will also provide a collection of desirable new homes and public open spaces including sports pitches and play areas.

Richard Oldroyd, managing director of Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “This is an exciting development in central Coventry that will breathe economic life into Little Heath and lay the foundations for a thriving new community.

“Our plans include homes to suit a range of buyers, from those looking to get on the property ladder for the first time to families seeking more space as they grow.”

Persimmon Homes South Midlands purchased the land with outline planning permission for the 344 new homes and are working toward the submission of further planning documentation to achieve final planning approval from Coventry City Council’s planning committee. Subject to final planning approval work is expected to start on site later this year
