Business is hotting up at a local family-run joinery manufacturer thanks to the change in seasons and the arrival of warmer weather.
Scotts of Thrapston, which manufactures an extensive range of high quality, specialist timber products, is enjoying a boost in enquiries for its attractive summerhouses thanks to the recent rise in temperatures and is planning back-to-back open days with some attractive promotions and special offers.
Fourth generation Scott family member and director, James Scott, says the improvements in the weather have had an impact on enquiry levels and is looking forward to welcoming visitors to the company’s summerhouse display area on 21 and 22 March.
He says: “It’s not unusual for the summerhouse team to be inundated with enquiries as soon as the weather brightens up each spring, but this year it has been earlier than normal. It seems the sunshine inspires people to think about their gardens and invest in the outdoors as early as possible to ensure they get the most out of the season.
“Our open days will give visitors the chance to see for themselves the superb range of garden buildings which are perfect for hobbies, entertaining, relaxing or just enjoying sitting in the garden.
“The wide range of colour finishes, roof materials, interior seating configurations, upholstery designs and a whole host of optional extras means each summerhouse is unique to its owner and the only limitation is imagination.”
The core range of summerhouses includes six attractive designs and two additional garden buildings designed in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society are also available. Drawing their inspiration from the RHS Lindley Library archives, the roots of the RHS Centenary Arbour and RHS Centenary Summerhouse can be traced back to the classic pavilions and gazebos found in many formal gardens.
The Scotts of Thrapston promotional open days will run from 10am to 3pm on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 March at the company’s premises on Bridge Street in Thrapston, Northamptonshire.
