Stunning new homes being built at a development in Northamptonshire will be highly energy efficient thanks to the latest in building technology.
Persimmon Homes Midlands is creating homes at The Hedgerows, Irthlingborough, using the latest timber frame Space4 technology, which could help save thousands of pounds in fuel bills over the lifetime of the property because it is so energy efficient.
The select development of two, three and four bedroom homes is the first in the area to benefit from Space4’s timber frame manufacturing, which by offering a faster build has enabled Persimmon to keep up with the demand for homes.
Space4 timber frame technology boasts improved insulation and air-tightness to create cosier and more comfortable living spaces. Not to mention lower noise levels and a 70% reduction in drying shrinkage compared to masonry builds.
Debbie Box, area sales manager for Persimmon Homes Midlands, said: “It is important that people realise the advantages of living in a new home.
“Statistics show that energy costs are 55 per cent less in a new build home than any other type of house – that could be an annual saving of £1,300. For buyers, a new-build home means energy efficient heating systems, first-rate loft insulation and draft free double glazed windows and doors.
“The backbone of a Space4 home is a composite timber framed structural shell which is filled full of high-performance insulation and is therefore extremely energy efficient. It helps both the home-buyer and the environment through lower consumption of heating fuels.”
Space 4 Uses CAD/CAM production techniques from the automotive industry and a unique patented injection technology to produce structures for homes and apartments.
Prices at The Hedgerows start from £132,950 for a two bed semi, and there are a number of sales schemes designed to get customers moving including 100 per cent part exchange and Help to Buy.
