A young couple have exchanged vows at a fairy-tale wedding with a little help from their friends and colleagues at Corkills Volkswagen.
Emma Bolton, a 25-year-old service advisor at the Wigan retailer, said her close-knit team of colleagues helped to pull the whole wedding together by adding a touch of Volkswagen to it.
The company provided two Volkswagen Touaregs for the big day – one to transport the bridesmaids and the other to transport the groom to the venue. The cars were chauffeur-driven by two of the company’s parts advisors, Simon Brown and Carl Gerrard, who said they were delighted to play a part in Emma and Jason’s big day.
Close friend and master technician Tony Tyrer was also on hand to chauffer the bride to the stunning Village on the Green venue, in his impressive Volkswagen Transporter T5.
Emma was delighted that all of her close friends and colleagues got to play a role in her dream wedding.
“I’ve worked at Corkills Volkswagen for seven years and we all get on really well. We’re like a big Corkills family,” she said.
“My husband’s sister, Selina who also works with me, was my bridesmaid and my best friend, Michaela, a receptionist at Corkills, was my witness.”
“Volkswagen is such a respected brand and Corkills is a big part of my life so it made sense to make it a big part of our wedding day too.”
The couple, who have a two year old son called Logan, said they can’t wait to toast their union with a two-week honeymoon in Turkey.
“The wedding was amazing, but now it’s time to relax,” Emma added.
“Jason and I would like to thank our friends at Corkills for going that extra mile for us and being part of our big day.”
Brand manager, Jacqui Kaye said they were more than happy to be involved in Emma and Jason’s wedding.
“Emma has been a valued member of staff at Corkills for seven years and providing transportation for the wedding is our way of thanking her for all her hard work.
“We wish Emma and Jason all the best for their future together.”
