Legal firm Higgs & Sons brought together 200 professionals from across the region last week to play in its annual football tournament, which raises money for worthy causes each year.
The Victoria Ground, home of Bromsgrove Sporting FC, hosted the event which saw 24 teams of local professionals and clients play 67 games of six-a-side football.
In total £2,600 was raised for the charity Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer. The tournament was eventually won by accountancy firm Baldwins, who beat Alto-Digital on penalties in a closely fought final.
Senior partner, Ian Shovlin, said the event was the most successful that the firm had ever run: “We would like to thank everyone that took part and who helped us raise money for such a great charity.”
To help the teams recover, Higgs laid on a hog roast and served ice-cream from a specially sourced van which played the Match of the Day theme tune.
