As MAN Truck & Bus Northampton marked its 15th anniversary, four members of staff celebrated reaching their own personal milestones since the fledgling business opened its doors.
MAN Truck & Bus Northampton opened for business in December 1999 and of all of the staff currently employed at the business, four have accumulated fifteen years unbroken service after working there since the first day of trading.
Parts controller, Steve Moore; administration supervisor, Katrina Cox; shift team leader, Andrew Johnson; and parts advisor and customer service champion, Myles Williams all made the move from the MAN Dealership in Milton Keynes to a new location in Northampton.
Looking back on his time with the business, Steve Moore says: “I can’t believe the Branch has been open for fifteen years. It seems like only yesterday we were excitedly preparing for the opening. I remember when the four of us started working here. There were about ten of us altogether and within five years we had grown and moved to larger premises. Now we have 27 people in our team.”
“The technology on the trucks has changed dramatically over the last fifteen years. Not only has it improved with time, but the quality and reliability on MAN’s back up and the vehicles have proven to be second to none.”
As part of the Anniversary MAN Truck & Bus Northampton’s Branch Manager, Jim Snape, held an internal celebration where he presented the loyal staff with congratulatory letters from MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd Managing Director, Simon Elliott.
Steve added: “We all really enjoy working for MAN we have some wonderful memories over the years and look forward to many more.”
Jim Snape, Branch Manager said; “We are delighted to be celebrating fifteen years of trading. To have four original members of staff, who helped to launch the Branch, still working for us is amazing and I’d like to thank each of them and all our loyal customers for making MAN Truck & Bus Northampton a success over the last fifteen years.
